DHL Grant

January 3rd saw the delivery of:

·       A 'Vario' cross trainer - with variable step lengths, to better rehab people with lower limb injuries.

·       A Recumbent bike - with step through access - for patients with lower limb injuries or joint replacements.

·       A weight stack of weights from 1kg - 10kg

to the Physiotherapy Department, wholly funded by a very generous grant of £10k from the DHL UK Foundation. This state-of-the-art equipment, which is all self-powered fitting with the trusts green policy, will provide a significant benefit to patients and really enhances the existing gym facilities. Both the DHL Foundation and the wider DHL team are significant supporters of the Charity and we have some great Fundraising activities planned for 2018.

Santander Bikes

The Charity was delighted to have been able to support Brunel University’s successful crowdfunding campaign for a Santander bike scheme for the area. Brunel raised over £85k to win the race for a Santander grant of £100k to set up the scheme. 50 bikes and 8 docking stations will connect the University with Uxbridge Town centre and Hillingdon Hospital. Well done Brunel! This support was only one of a number of initiatives the Trust is working on with Brunel University to bring us closer together.
