Our impact

help the nhs

We exist  to assist and to enhance the NHS where it has no budget to help.

maternity bereavement

We know our maternity bereavement service is already making a huge difference. Our next project aims to create a garden for our rehabilitation patients across three wards.

ward support

If you want to support a particular ward or  project, your donations will be kept in trust for use by them and only for those projects. The charity is independently regulated and we are responsible to a Charity Finance Committee that regulates what we do.

Your generosity makes all this possible. Find out more about the charity here.

At the end of 'Volunteers Week' we celebrate all the incredible volunteers in our hospital who really make life so much better for all of us. Patients, staff, and visitors all benefit from the care, dedication, and love that these talented, accomplished, selfless people bring. They have had distinguished careers and are now giving back to society. We are very grateful; thanks to each one. Special thanks to two amazing volunteers who support the work the Charity does. Half a Million Steps!!At just 27, Anisha was diagnosed with a rare blood condition. This month, she is walking 500,000 steps in 30 days to raise money for people living with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), and she’d love your support. “I’ve been incredibly fortunate” she says. Over the past 15 years, Anisha has received exceptional care from a specialist team at Hillingdon, who has helped her manage her condition and live a full life. Their support also made it possible for Anisha to safely become a mum… “something I’ll never take for granted”. Anisha would like to give something back with your help. The Charity was more than happy to fund the tea parties on Fleming and Beaconsfield East Wards this week. It is always lovely to see the reaction from our dementia patients, who particularly love the charity funded 'Magic Table'. Well done Toni and the teams for bringing such joy to our patients. 👏👏👏👏🥰 ... See MoreSee Less

What an emotional visit today. Out of the blue, Benita Bairn, a Sister who worked at Hillingdon on several wards over many years returned this afternoon with her two lovely carers from The Burroughs care home in West Drayton. The visit was to bring thoughtful care bags containing treats, pens, drinks, and biscuits to give to nurses on International Nurses Day. Nurses on Beaconsfield East, Beaconsfield West, Haematology Day Care, and Bumblebee wards were surprised and grateful. Some remembered Benita, clearly with much affection, which was so lovely to see.Well done Alison and Sarah from The Burroughs for your brilliant idea and great kindness, to our nurses, and to Benita who thoroughly enjoyed her walk down memory lane. ❤️🙏 ... Sue Richards, thank you for coming in today with Rita (mum) to bring these fabulous Izzy dolls. Thanks to Rita, Jan, Rosey and Phil for all the help they give you in creating these special treats for children on Rainbow ward. Special thanks to Sue's big sister Kath who sews and bags them up. 🙏These really cheer our young patients up, and their anxious parents. They're a great distraction from blood tests, and other day procedures. Well done all 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️ ... See MoreSee Less
