Neonatal Unit Refurbishment
Supporting babies and their families
Our Neonatal Unit cares for some of the hospital’s smallest and most vulnerable patients. Through charitable funding, we’ve helped transform the environment for families during what can be an incredibly stressful time.
The refurbishment project created improved family spaces, including comfortable areas for parents to rest, spend time with their baby and receive support throughout their neonatal journey. The project was shaped by feedback from parents to ensure the unit better meets the needs of families.
Jubilee Rehabilitation Garden
Bringing nature into recovery
Opened in 2024, the Jubilee Rehabilitation Garden was created to support patients recovering on our rehabilitation wards.
Designed by award-winning landscape designers from the team of Chelsea Flower Show gold medallist Tom Stuart-Smith, the garden provides a therapeutic outdoor space where patients and their families can spend time in nature, supporting both physical rehabilitation and emotional wellbeing.
The Ocean Pearl Suite
Our largest fundraising project to date
In 2022, we helped deliver the Ocean Pearl Suite, the Trust’s first dedicated maternity bereavement suite, raising and co-funding £250,000 alongside the Trust.
Located away from the busy labour ward, the suite provides families experiencing the loss of a baby with privacy, dignity and time together in a calm, supportive environment. The purpose-built space includes private delivery rooms, family areas, counselling facilities and peaceful garden access, helping families navigate one of the most difficult moments of their lives.
